Hey there Reader, 
The other week I watched a webinar with yoga and meditation teacher Jo Tastula about menopause. She said something along these lines that really stayed with me:
“The things that served me when I was younger don’t serve me anymore. They’re better suited to other people now.”
 
I felt that. Because in the last few years I’ve noticed how much of my old drive has faded, especially the drive to sacrifice short-term happiness for some future reward.
For years that energy helped me. It kept me focused, organised, productive. But now it often feels heavy. The pace that once felt natural no longer fits.
And that makes sense. We change. What helped us climb one hill can weigh us down on the next. The habits that once protected us can start to close us in.
These days I listen differently. I notice when I’m acting from an old rule or identity. It isn’t always easy. But it feels more honest.
It’s about giving myself permission to be different.
🔬Tiny experiment
Notice one habit, belief, or routine that once served you well. Ask yourself:
- Does this still help me live the life I want now?
 
- Or is it ready to belong to someone else?
 
See what happens when you give yourself a little permission to change.
